Insurance Update: In-Network with Blue Cross Blue Shield

In order to better serve residents of the Triad, I’m happy to announce that I have re-joined the in-network panel for Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. For those who have BCBS insurance, this means that you will generally be responsible for only a copay or coinsurance for our visits. Depending on your specific plan, that copay will be between $10 and $70 for either individual or couples/family psychotherapy. Typically, no pre-authorization is required, and there are no yearly session limits.

Unfortunately, I continue to be out-of-network for folks who are covered under a “Blue Value POS” plan. As I do with other out-of-network insurance providers, I will be happy to speak with you about payment options and file your out-of-network claims on your behalf.

If you would like to check your benefit information, you can call the number on the back of your BCBS insurance card or visit the BCBSNC website. (If you have out-of-state BCBS coverage, I am still considered in-network; however, the website for your information will be different.)

If you have any questions about using your mental health benefits for our work together, please feel free to contact me.
